Born from Tom Ritchey’s 15,000-mile-a-year “lab” in the saddle, the Montebello takes everything that makes Ritchey’s Logic steel so addictive and tunes it for going farther. Proprietary heat-treated, triple-butted Logic tubing delivers that signature blend of lively response and long-haul comfort, while the geometry steps up from the Road Logic: higher stack for a more sustainable position, longer wheelbase, and a lower bottom bracket for planted stability when the hours stack up. It’s still a Ritchey—precise, engaging, and eager—but now dialed for the kind of days (and nights) that stretch well past the café stop.
The dedicated WCS Carbon Brevet Fork is purpose-built for the job. Clearance for 700x40c tires without fenders (or 36c with) keeps the road feeling smooth whether you’re on chipseal, gravel shoulders, or just chasing better traction. Multi-purpose mounts on the fork legs handle porteur or low-rider racks, dropout mounts cover fenders and extra capacity, and internal dynamo routing means you can stay out after dark without a mess of external wires. The classic 1-1/8" straight steerer keeps the front end feeling sharp and communicative—the Ritchey hallmark.
Practical details throughout: full rack and fender mounts on the frame, external cable routing with stealth Di2 compatibility (EW-SD300 for 12-speed), threaded English BB, 12mm thru-axles, flat-mount disc (140–160mm), and ED coating for corrosion resistance. Two bottle mounts inside the triangle. Six sizes from XS to XXL. Frame weight around 2,000g (medium, without thru-axle); fork ~415g uncut.
